A sectarian division has split a small village in Gaul in half, their problems made worse by some very loud posturing by their loudmouth leaders. The infighting prompts the Roman army to step in and take over the village. But ready to cross the divide is a lovestruck couple, desperate to see their village united, and they turn to Asterix and his friends to help them start a peace process and forge a harmonious future.
