The Wells Fargo stagecoach is in danger! Outlaws and bandits are lying in wait to steal the gold on board, as the coach makes its way across America from Denver to San Francisco. Lúcás Lúfar and his faithful horse Luas Lasrach are called upon by Wells Fargo to escort the valuable cargo to its ultimate destination, but there’s danger ahead, and the journey’s end seems far, far away.

The 19th century was a time of migration to the American Wild West. The welcome awaiting the newcomers was somewhat mischievous – the kind of welcome which would harden the immigrant’s resolve to stay… or give him enough reason to head back home. When the well-heeled incomer, Beinidict Badmantan, finds himself in the West ready to inherit his uncle’s homestead, he’s determined that no welcoming party will stop him from beginning a new life amongst the cowboys. Lúcas Lúfar is engaged as Beinidict’s special fixer, with plenty of advice and a helping hand to overcome the dastardly conspiracy plotted by Taidhgín Gaimbín.

Even though detectives from the famous Pinkerton Agency are called in to sort things out, it’s clear that only Lúcás Lúfar can arrest the spiraling progress of the James Gang and put pay to Jesse James’ convoluted sense of justice. But will he oblige, and end the pillaging reign of his band of brigands with a lick of tar and a sackful of feathers?
